Landscape Design Consultation

    I am an environmental landscaper that serves the Sierra Nevada foothill communities. My background is in science teaching. I have my B.S. in Biochemistry and I am a CA state naturalist. I design landscapes that are fire safe, water resilient, and ecologically friendly.

There are three steps to a landscape design consultation:

First step- the initial consultation, which includes the following:

1) Marking off property into fire zones 1, 2 and 3

2) ID of fire hazards both structurally and in the landscape

3) ID of flammable, native and non-native plant species

4) Recommendation of fire resistant shrubs and trees

5) Description of current irrigation system and recommended upgrades.

6) A groundcover management plan.

7) A shrub and tree maintenance program

8) Identification of areas of erosion potential and recommended mitigation plan. (May require consult with contractor.)

Second step- an action report that prioritizes recommended improvements over a course of 1 or more years is designed

Third step- the follow up consultation during which time we will discuss the report and any further questions you may have.

The fee for the above services is currently __________. The fee is due at the end of the initial consultation.

   If so desired I will provide a bid for any improvements you would like for me to complete.
